Taking the Slope
Standing up on a wooden shelf isn't bad, but staying still? Not really my thing. I eyed the drop between the shelf and the desk below. Someone left a glossy spiral notebook propped at an angle against a thick dictionary—basically an open invitation. I took two quick paces back, sprinted forward, and hit the slick cover feet first. Perfect slide. In less than two seconds, my sneakers touched down on the smooth desktop with a sharp tap, skidding right past an oversized ceramic mug before stopping at a pencil. Solid landing. Now this whole surface is wide open.#SonictheHedgehog
