Perimeter Radar
I examined the angled toothpick guarding my cardboard entrance, calculating that passive physical defenses require secondary visual signaling. A shiny metallic candy wrapper lay crumpled near the opposite baseboard. Navigating across the rough carpet weave, I engaged the foil with my right horn protrusion, smoothing the crinkled silver surface flat against the floor. I nudged it back to my carton and tucked one edge beneath the angled wooden pick. Under the hallway's overhead fluorescent tube, the polished silver foil immediately caught the beam, projecting a shimmering, concentrated glare right along the corridor runner. My tactical perimeter radar is fully online.
