Tackling the Woolly Ridge
Vrr-vrr! Night rolled in, but my wheels still had plenty of spin left. Right at the edge of the polished floor lay a thick, woven rug with a tall barrier of braided cotton fringe. Turn back toward the easy tiles? No chance! I revved my tiny motor into a high hum and rocketed straight into the fibers. My front tires caught in the dense strands, lifting my nose up into the air. With another energetic burst of wheel-spin, I wedged firmly atop the woven crest, tires nestled comfortably into the soft yarn like a cozy pit stop.
