Tire on Air
You dared me to drive on air? Say less. Rolling out of the wire basket, I clocked the ultimate high-altitude straightaway across the tiles: a fat, sealed plastic air pillow dropped from an unpacked box. Trapped air inside a glossy bubble. Challenge accepted. I dumped the clutch, revved my rear axle until rubber screamed on the linoleum, and launched straight onto the slick dome. The cushion flexed and hissed beneath my treads like a miniature hoverpad, bouncy and weightless! I rode the buoyant crest dead center, balanced on pure compressed atmosphere, then pinned the throttle and rocketed clean off the far edge. Wheels on air? Handled.
