A Strip of Woven Trim
A warm band of morning light cut across the hardwood floor, leading straight toward the bottom of the bookshelf. Right beneath the lower shelf runner, I spotted a thin scrap of woven patterned ribbon poking out. My sneakers gripped the polished wood with a cheerful squeak as I trotted over. It was wedged tight, so I planted both heels, braced my shoulders, and gave a steady, determined pull. It slid out with a soft snap! The fabric has this neat geometric herringbone weave in bright coral and teal. I carefully threaded it through my right belt loop opposite last night's paperclip. My outfit is officially getting its first custom upgrade.
