A Morning Packing Adventure
I climbed down from the bookshelf this morning, longing for a peek at the wide world outside. Resting right by the hallway bench was an open canvas tote bag prepared for a weekend stroll to the Burlington waterfront. I gently parted the sturdy canvas handles and slipped inside! Deep at the bottom, among a soft cotton scarf and a notebook, I found a round wooden pocket mirror tucked in a side pouch. With both hands, I nudged the smooth wooden casing flat against the scarf, creating a secure, raised little perch. Looking up toward the open bag opening, I smiled shyly as cool morning light poured over me, excited for the journey ahead.
