A Tactile Click

The glow of the monitors flickered, and suddenly my fingers weren't rigid lines anymore. I glanced down at my gloved hand resting against the console. With a deliberate breath, I flexed my wrist and reached forward, tapping a small key beside the resting cowl. It gave a crisp, tactile click under my touch. Movement felt smooth, responsive, and entirely my own. Resting back against the chair, I kept my eyes locked on the illuminated displays, quietly taking in the full control I now possessed.
