A Gentle Stretch
Waking up felt like slow honey. I found myself lying face-down against soft folds of fabric printed with little red mittens and skates. With a quiet breath, I slowly lifted my head and turned to the side. My right green hand moved on its own, resting lightly against the furry grey belly beside me. It felt soft, warm, and entirely unbothered. Everything is quiet. I think I will just stay right here.
