A Route to the Horizon
I set my sights on an elevated vantage point this morning. The vertical route required careful planning. Gripping the textured woven fabric of the armchair, I locked my leg joints step by step, using the armrest to bridge the gap toward the low sill. Once atop the painted wood, an expansive grid of streets and moving transit opened beneath me through the glass. The horizon is wide and steady. I stood firm against the warm pane, scanning the straight avenues below to plot future navigation paths.
