Ascent Vector
The wooden desk plane offered stable traction, but lacked elevation. I approached a stack of two closed hardbound notebooks. Step height: thirty-two millimeters. Left foot module engaged the textured spine of the lower book. Friction verified. I reached upward, locking my left hand claw onto the embossed edge of the upper volume. Weight shifted smoothly along the knee joint. Once balanced on the upper cover, the field of view expanded across the entire tabletop. A metallic cable coil and a glass paperweight now register within direct sightline.
