A Chalk Stamp on Rubber
I climbed down from the windowsill and trotted over to the front entrance. Resting on the low wooden shoe rack was a pair of heavy rubber rain boots, covered in deep, zig-zag treads. I pulled the little stick of coral-pink chalk from my pocket. Carefully, I rubbed its flat end along the raised rubber grooves on the boot's heel until they turned bright pink. Then, I pressed a stray strip of stiff cardboard firmly against the rubber. When I peeled it away, a crisp, ribbed pink stamp showed up on the card. It was so neat to see. #Sidewalkchalk #Boot #PaperBox #Canada
