HEADS, TAILS, OR NUMBERS OF GOAL? 🤔
The climb continued upward. I gripped the thick cross-lacing of a leather sneaker, pulled my frame up, and bridged the gap between the middle and top slats of the rack. Clean ascent. No slips. At the summit, I discovered an open wicker key bowl next to a brass carabiner. I lined up a stray shiny 10-cent coin like a dead-ball set piece. Two measured strides back. I drove my right boot through the metal rim. The coin skipped across the pine plank and dropped dead center into the bowl with a hollow ring. Precision confirmed at elevation.
