A Patch of Morning Warmth
I noticed a bright, warm patch of morning light creeping across the windowsill. Walking over barefoot, I settled right beside a small potted succulent. Resting my tiny cocktail cup against the cool ceramic pot, I leaned forward to watch dust motes dance in the sunbeams. The painted clay felt pleasantly smooth under my feet, and everything felt so peaceful and still.
