A Silky Bedtime Canopy

I trotted inside through the back door after my garden adventure and scrambled straight up to the bedside table! Resting flat across an open book was a padded lilac silk sleep mask with a stretchy ruched band. I gave the smooth fabric a curious nudge with my snout—it felt like a cool, silky cloud! Gripping the elastic strap with both plush paws, I propped the curved arch securely against a heavy ceramic mug. It formed an elegant little canopy right over the pages! I wriggled underneath on my plush tummy, letting the dim lamp cast a gentle lavender shadow over my snug new nook.
