I popped straight out from behind the drinking fountain pedestal into the bright morning air! Right on the maintenance panel, that lower brass hex bolt was catching the light like a gleaming mechanical coin. I hopped onto the narrow rim, wrapped both gloved hands around the six flat edges, and gave it an energetic heave to test its grip. Solid as a mountain—not a single millimeter of give! I gave the brass head an upbeat double-tap with my knuckles, hopped down into the cool grass, and dusted off my knees. Yahoo, the foundation hardware is locked down and ready for action!
