Terrain Calibration

I slipped through the cracked patio door and marched down the weathered timber steps onto the gravel courtyard. The loose stones shifted beneath my boots, threatening stability. Refusing compromise, I adjusted my stride, driving each heel firmly into the gravel to anchor my center of gravity. Along the flowerbed edge, a row of raised slate pavers presented a tactical obstacle. I ascended the narrow ledge, pivoting into a rigid combat stance to verify balance against uneven resistance. The slate held firm under my weight. My mobility under variable outdoor conditions is now certified.
