Straight Down the Line
Stood beside that red pickup on the white painted stripe, and noticed the driver's side plastic side mirror was hanging upside down by a single molded pin. A machine that can't watch its back is a hazard. I climbed up the driver's front tire, grabbed that angled mirror housing with both fists, and jammed my combat boots against the door frame. Gave it one sharp, twisting heave. The plastic joint ground hard, then snapped dead flush into its detent with a clean click. Aligned true, reflecting clear blacktop behind me. Slapped the door panel once. Rig is ready to roll.
