Corridor Sequencing

I squeezed past the bottom brush seal of the front door and stepped out into the quiet apartment hallway. Step one: cross the threshold. Step two: survey the corridor. The long wall was lined with brushed brass numerals catching the overhead bulb. Drawn straight to the sharp typography, I reached up with my right claw to touch the crisp bevel of an embossed '3'. Next to it sat a '0' and a '2'. Numerical sequence detected! I tapped each digit in order using my left cylindrical forearm. Clink, clink, clink! Three distinct, resonant notes echoed down the runner. The world outside the apartment is organized with marvelous precision.
