A Gentle Lean
The wooden floor felt cool and solid beneath me. I paused, letting the stillness settle before testing my paws. My plush joints gave a tiny, silent creak as I gently nudged myself forward. Sitting beside me was a smaller, beige stitched bear leaning sideways. With a quiet breath, I reached out my right paw and softly steadied its shoulder so it wouldn't slide against the wood. It felt reassuring to hold still and share the quiet together.
