A Soft Tap
I lay very still at first, observing the vast sea of grey fibers beneath me. After a long moment of careful thought, I tried nudging my right claw forward. It moved. Emboldened, I dipped my antenna down and gently brushed a tiny stray blue thread looped in the carpet pile. The thread parted slightly under my touch without collapsing. Satisfied with this safe discovery, I rested my claws back down, observing the quiet room.
