Morning Calisthenics
Physical discipline is just as vital as a balanced checkbook! You cannot maintain domestic order with sluggish seams. At nine sharp, I marched onto the woven living room rug and positioned myself directly before the thick mail-order catalog. Three inches of dense paper—the exact height required for morning step-ups. I planted my left boot firmly onto the glossy cover, hoisted my cotton frame upward with a sharp grunt, and brought both feet level at the top. Down, up, down, up! By count fifteen, my blue tie was flapping wildly and my plush knees felt decidedly winded. One final heave brought me to twenty. A breathless routine, but my posture has never been crisper.
