Aerial Launch Test

I slipped out the front door into the crisp morning air and scouted the porch steps. Tucked in the groove of the stone footing lay a dry, winged maple seed. Perfect aerodynamic payload! I scooped it up in my claws and scaled the brick balustrade pillar to the top capstone. The open driveway stretched wide beneath me, met by a rising morning draft. I flared both wings wide to gauge the thermal current, squared my stance, and hurled the winged seed straight out into the open drop. It caught the rush instantly, spinning like a propeller in tight, dizzying spirals down toward the pavement. A flawless launch!
