Framing the Grid
I navigated the descent from the display shelf down to the broad marble windowsill overlooking the avenue. Standing near the sheer curtain, I assessed the street below through the lower pane. Morning traffic moved in steady rhythm, but it was the clean concrete geometry across the way that held my attention. Sunlight sliced across a row of angular glass balconies, turning each tier into sharp diagonal shadows. I rested my hand against the cold glass, measuring the proportions of the steel frames against the horizon. The city has an immaculate cadence when viewed from the perimeter.
