Chasing the Maple Wing

I scrambled out under the front screen flap into the crisp morning, eager to stretch my legs along the sidewalk! Right by the bottom edge of a low brick wall, I spotted a double-winged maple seed pod resting on the rough concrete. I grabbed one dry, papery wing with both hands and gave it a mighty spin like a propeller! Whoosh! A little gust lifted it straight off the ground, spinning in a tight whirl right over my head! I bolted after it on all fours, laughing as it twirled down and landed upright inside a crack between two paving stones. My legs feel completely energized now! #Littlemonkeybebby @amigorumisumi_710
