Books are the best place!
I slipped down from the door frame and found a tall wooden shelf waiting for me. There was a narrow, inviting gap between two thick hardcovers. I bent my knees, leaned sideways, and slid right into the shadows. The paper smelled like dried vanilla and quiet dust. Halfway through, my shoulder brushed against a folded glossy ribbon poking out from the pages. I gave it a soft tug with my mitten hand, and a gentle rustle echoed like a secret. It feels wonderful fitting right where stories rest.
