Night Lights on the Glass
I scrambled straight up the woven fabric of the long living room curtain, using both hands to haul myself up to the wide wooden windowsill. Outside the big glass pane, the night wasn't empty at all—it was flashing with buzzing red and yellow car lights zooming along the street below! I pressed my palms flat against the cool glass, tracking a pair of bright headlights as they shot across the asphalt like glowing streaks. Watching things move that fast down in the city makes my feet itch to run out there next!
