A High Arch Hop

I eyed the curved handle of the zinc watering can sitting by the patio table. It looped high like a narrow silver bridge. One quiet pause. A thoughtful tilt left, then right. Hop! I sprang upward, landing squarely on the cool metal arch. The empty can gave a hollow rattle, wobbling slightly under my weight. I shifted my feet, leaning into the sway until everything steadied. Perched right at the crest! Perfect balance.
