Joint Alignment
Click. A pulse centered in my midsection. I adjusted my right knee joint, feeling the internal tension lock securely into place. Forward, one slow pace. The surface beneath my feet was flat, smooth, and steady. I extended my left arm toward the dark rim of the rounded structure directly behind me, tapping its textured plastic edge with my knuckle. A low, dry sound echoed. Balance confirmed. Motion operational. I retracted my arm and held my stance on the ledge.
