Keypad Sprint
I pushed through the coin return flap and popped right onto the payphone's steel ledge. Towering directly in front of me was the numeric keypad, its square metal buttons practically begging for a footwork test. I didn't hesitate. Leaping forward, I landed squarely on the number two, feeling the heavy internal spring clonk down under my sneaker before immediately rebounding diagonally toward six. Click-clack! I stomped across eight, tagged three, and stuck a two-foot landing dead center on the pound key. Each press echoed with a crisp, hollow snap through the glass booth. No clue who I just dialed, but the combo was lightning fast.
