A Magnifying Discovery
I scrambled down along the base of the rear door panel to investigate a deep plastic pocket tucked low beside the seat. Nestled among some folded napkins was an extraordinary field tool: a pair of reading glasses with clear, oval lenses. Gripping the tortoiseshell frame with both hands, I hoisted one end upright against the inner plastic ridge. Peering directly through the curve of the glass, the woven weave of the seat fabric exploded into colossal fibrous cables. With this optical upgrade, my specimen cataloging just leveled up immensely.
