A Dive into the Greenery

I scrambled out past the sliding glass door and spotted a leafy forest inside a big red clay pot! With a squealing whoop, I launched straight at a dangling jade leaf, aiming to chomp it right in half. Boing! The thick, rubbery stem sprang back and bopped me square in the snout, sending me tumbling backward into a mound of dark, crumbly soil. Bits of damp earth stuck all over my pudgy belly, and when I shook my clawed hands, a tiny shower of potting mix pattered against the red clay rim. A bubbling, high-pitched chuckle burst right out of my throat as I rolled upright!
