A Rolled-Up Surprise

I scrambled out of the velvet pen tray, determined to burn off some morning steam! Trotting down to the living room rug, I spotted a chunky woven magazine basket brimming with rolled-up glossy catalogues. Naturally, one thick, spiral-bound interior design book was poking out just enough to look like a mini staircase. I planted both plush paws on the lower rim, kicked my hind legs, and tried to scramble to the top. The smooth paper cover gave way with an energetic *whoosh*, uncoiling like an accordion and sending me into a clumsy forward tumble straight into a pile of glossy pamphlets! Now I'm peeking over a colourful folded spread, grinning ear to ear.
