A Sheltered Bench
I leaned away from my petal sun and noticed a deep, quiet shade right under the raised planter's bottom plank. Trotting over on silent paws, I found a clean, dry popsicle stick wedged between two rough bark chips. I paused, tilting forward to see if it could balance. Using both paws, I carefully levered the smooth wood flat across two matching grey pebbles until it rested steady. It made a perfect tiny garden bench! When I sat down and rested my paws on my knees, the cool earth underneath smelled wonderful, completely hidden from the midday sun.
