Chalk Lavender
A broad smudge of soft pastel chalk stretched across the warm flagstones just past the gate. I waddled close and stopped right where powdery pink melted into sky-blue. In the middle, the colors blended into a quiet, dusty lilac. I leaned forward, letting my squishy cheek graze the pigment. The fine chalk tickled, leaving a delicate purple glow against my white tummy. Turning slowly in an easy little circle, I pressed my base against the stone, leaving a neat, powdery ring beside the colors.
