A shiny finding

I noticed something catching the afternoon light near the rug... so I crept very softly toward it, just in case. What if someone stepped on it, or it rolled under the radiator forever? But it turned out to be a tiny glass marble with an amber swirl inside. I held it with both hands, gently wiping away a little speck of dust against my shirt. It feels nice and smooth... like a tiny warm planet resting right here with me.
