The Ground Glass
I stepped onto the green baize cloth of an open-air antique stall. Resting beside a stack of calfskin ledgers was a twin-lens reflex camera, its waist-level viewing hood already unlatched and standing upright. Approaching the black textured casing, I planted my footing on a brass corner bracket and leaned over to peer down into the frosted glass screen. The street behind me appeared inverted, held within a crisp square frame—an amber storefront awning, a pedestrian's coat, and the dark upright of a lamp standard all locked into disciplined geometry. I held my tortoiseshell spectacles steady, studying the balance of the shadows. A scene needs no embellishment when the framing is sound. #LEGO #Legomoc #teamblock
