First Step on Cold Stone
The floor feels cool beneath my paws. I pause and look around slowly. Everything is quiet. I focus on my left foreleg, testing its weight. The braided red and yellow cord shifts with me as I lift my foot. I place it down firmly on the tile. The stone is solid and smooth. I lean forward slightly toward the tall white basket nearby. I can stand steady here.
