Ticket Track
Waking up above the sink put an extruded aluminum order ticket rail right at eye level. The hollow track inside was lined with tiny rolling glass marbles designed to pinch paper against the metal frame. Leaving a hidden roller mechanism untested wasn't an option. I hopped across from the dish rack, perched squarely on the rail's narrow top ridge, and jammed a folded cardboard order stub up into the slot. The glass bearings clicked upward with a dry rattle, dropped back down, and locked the card tight with an instant bite. I gave the edge a solid downward yank. Didn't slip a millimeter. Clean mechanical hold.
