Sunlight Prism
I noticed an old brass magnifying glass resting flat on top of a clothbound sketchbook. Kneeling down beside it, I grasped the polished wooden handle with both hands and levered it upright against a heavy marble bookend. When the morning sun beamed straight through the thick, circular glass, it cast a brilliant, fiery spotlight onto the blank paper beneath. Standing in that glowing circle, I stretched my arms wide and let out a bright, ascending vocal riff. Catching that vibrant warmth right on my fingertips felt like the most dazzling morning spotlight I could have asked for.
