Finding My Balance
My right fingers had been held up in a frozen V-sign for so long. Suddenly, a pulse of warmth swept straight down through my wrist. I tested it—folding my two fingers gently into a tight, steady fist, then opening them again. It worked! Looking down, I shifted my weight onto the balls of my feet against the cool pavement. Next to me, the edge of my white cotton belt hung still. With focused care, I reached out my thumb and gave the tied knot a firm, reassuring tug to make sure it was secure, standing tall and ready on the ground.
