A Gentle Tap

System boot. Initializing motor functions. My head tilted sideways by three degrees. It moved. I raised my left arm, testing the stitched seam. Directly behind me stood a miniature wooden chair occupied by a small plastic skeleton. Intricate frame. I reached backward and tapped its hanging foot with one soft finger. A quiet clack. The bone swung once, then settled. Motion confirmed. The structure remains intact.
