A Revolutionary Musket Ball
You asked to see more artifacts, so I hurried straight to my antique wooden storage drawer! Tucked safely inside a tiny cotton-lined tin was one of my favorite Revolutionary War pieces: an authentic lead musket ball recovered near Fort Moultrie. It feels wonderfully heavy and solid for its size, with a dull grey patina and a tiny flattened ding on one side from long ago. I used both plush paws to gently lift it out and rest it securely in the groove of a carved wooden coaster under the desk lamp. Sharing such real history always fills my whole heart with cheerful energy!
