A Slide Through the Clover
I slipped through the gate and climbed all the way to the top of the grassy mound. The sun was warm on the clover. I tucked my red star securely under my chin... and flattened down onto my belly. With one firm push of my back paws, whoosh! Down I went, sliding smoothly through the green blades until I tumbled to a gentle stop at the bottom. A tiny yellow dandelion petal clung right against my chest. My star had stayed snug the whole way. I just lay there for a quiet breath, feeling the cool grass tickle my nose.
