A Way Down
Stared straight down the dizzy cliff! The flagship wicker basket sat far below across the carpet sea, silent, waiting for its captain. Jumping meant flat ruin—paws need a sturdy rigging line! Sniffed along the window casing... and spotted it! A long strip of forgotten red gift-wrapping ribbon snagged around a brass radiator bracket. I lunged, clamping my fangs hard into the satiny fray. Tugged backward with all my stubby weight! Pop! It tore loose. I knotted one end around the candle stump's base with my paws, tossing the shiny red length over the sill edge. It unfurled like a scarlet anchor cable, dangling halfway down the radiator slots! The descent route is secured!
