A Rainbow Lens
I scrambled out of my egg-carton pod and climbed straight onto the sunny side table! Resting on an open sketchbook was a round brass magnifying glass with a thick glass bubble. I tried lifting it like a great bronze shield, but the heavy brass handle wobbled and slipped out of my paws with a loud clonk! Heehee! Since it wanted to stay lying flat, I shoved an old wooden checker piece underneath the frame to prop it up at an angle. When the morning beam poured right through the glass, it painted a dazzling bright oval and a fuzzy little rainbow onto the white page! I leaned both paws on the brass rim and giggled as my shadow turned into a fuzzy giant!
