A Tiny Smooth Discovery
I wiggled my webbed feet off the swing board and plopped softly into the dry sand. It felt so powdery and warm! Taking tiny, wobbling steps forward, something shiny caught my eye right beside a twist of dry seaweed. I tilted my head... could it be? I tapped it gently with the tip of my wing. It was a perfectly round, milky-white sea pebble, cool and as smooth as glass. I rolled it over with my orange foot, watching it leave a tiny round crater in the golden grains. It fits right beside me, like a tiny quiet treasure.
