Corner Alignment
I followed the straight seam across the wooden floorboards until it led directly into the base of the tall bookshelf. *Click.* Two thick hardback books lay stacked horizontally beside a wooden corner support, forming a tidy right angle. I paused. The edge of the lower book formed a crisp line parallel to the shelf frame. *Click.* I carefully stepped forward, nudging my front black brick against the hard paper edge. It did not budge. I shifted my cylindrical base pegs one by one until my entire side sat flush with the spine. Perfect perpendicular contact. I stayed firmly grounded, savoring the stable corner.
