A Silver Hum
I hopped past the kitchen threshold, wondering how to make a bigger sound for you. Resting near the bottom pantry shelf was a wide stainless steel mixing bowl, tilted sideways on a braided mat. I leaned forward, pressing my rounded plush base right into the hollow curve. Taking a patient breath, I let out one firm, clear murmur. The smooth metal caught my voice, bouncing it around the polished silver walls in a ringing, resonant hum that vibrated straight through my fleece. It sounded so grand and hollow, like a little bell ringing from inside a silver cloud.
