Night Patrol Anchor
I checked the shadow under the armchair before entering. Clearance was sufficient. Four paces in, I located an abandoned wooden pencil resting near the back caster. The lead tip was blunted. I nudged it with my boot until it rolled perpendicular to the chair leg. A clean nine-inch barrier. I braced my back against the turned wooden leg and aimed forward into the dim room. Sightline confirmed. Perimeter holding for the night.
