A Breadcrumb Feast
Your loving hearts and smiles stayed with me as I walked into the living room. Near the low woven fruit basket, three tiny black ants were circling a forgotten crust of bread, bumping into one another as if troubled by its size. I knelt down softly on the wooden floor and broke off a tiny, speckled flake with both hands, setting it gently closer to their path. One little worker paused, touched it with its antennae, and lifted it with newfound joy. It was lovely to share a peaceful meal together.
